The Manhattan Transfer – Take 6 – Marcus Miller – Shakatak…
I have been living with music of these MEGA STARS all my life…
In 1984 my discos got closed because of The Manhattan Transfer’s songs. Intelligence services accused me of bourgeois tendencies propaganda.
The first beauty contests in Donbass (1989) used the tracks of Take 6…
“STREET DANCERS” EPISODE from “ASSOL STAR” show (2002) was performed using the theme song of great Marcus Miller…
Now – sunny Shakatak…
On a spring evening, on April 22 nd, citizens and guests of Kyiv who managed to buy the tickets will come to “ALTA EXPO” Center to watch one of the brightest Bands of the last decades.
My folks who were very much surprised with the last Do#Dj guests exclaim again: “SHAKATAK! It’s not real. Everything is turned upside down!”
Many years ago I hoped to get to concert performances of my cult figures. I looked for the posters in Europe. I could never have dreamt that I would one day see them at my festival. I never dreamt that I would dance under the songs, which had become the songs of generations.
At some time of their life today’s national leaders, financial geniuses, famous artists, politicians and businessmen kissed in a car, on a sofa or in the kitchen under Shakatak music. In 1980s young men proposed marriage under Shakatak music. Babies were made under Shakatak music. And these babies grew up with this music and everything started again.
I am inviting you not to an ordinary concert. I am inviting you to take a terrific trip through time. And those who are less than 20 will be able to feel the contemporary and fashionable nature of Shakatak.
Everything repeats itself all over again. Fashion, including music fashion has a spiral pattern. And Shakatak has always been in the center of the spiral.
Vivat Shakatak!!!
