In 2001 in Donetsk «Do#Dj junior» Contest was held within the scope of «Do#Dj» Festival for the first time.

In the course of seven years the contest has become an iconic event not only in Ukraine, but also far beyond it’s borders.

The aim of the contest is to search and support young jazz talents.

Contests is taking place in two stages: preliminary round and the final.

Jury of the contest consists of musicians, musical journalists and active people from the music industry.

The jury is headed by Professor of the Russian Gnesins' Academy of Music, National Artist of the Russian Federation Igor BRIL.

Prize fund of the contest - $10 000

More  than 850 young musicians from 12 countries have become finalists of the contest
